Archive for the ‘myPadMedia Scam’ Category

I have been duped by the creators of mypadmedia into believing that the business is a genuine one that offers value for money ebook downloads. Looks like this is far from the truth. The landing page of mypadmedia appears to be real with the promise of unlimited downloads of ebooks even the bestsellers at only a one time payment of less than US$50.

Here is a better place to get affordable ebooks:

The truth of the matter is that this is a scam as all the so called free ebook downloads are public domain stuff that you can get from feedbooks.com. So in other words it really doesn't cost you a dime to download those books as they are available to everyone for free.  Also please don't buy into the promise of the best sellers and all as they do not exist in mypadmedia's library well in fact they do not have a library at all. They will just redirect you to another site that offers free ebook downloads once you sign in. The offer of free satellite TV service is also a scam as those are available for free. So to all my readers please be aware and do not purchase this service. If you have purchase this recently you can still request for your money back from plimus.com.  I'm sure there will be other types of similar service being created on the internet in the future, please do not be fooled by them. They are also known by other names such as the novel site, the movie site and all the rest of the crap. It is better for you to spend your money on real ebooks from Amazon.com or Barnes of Nobles.

I don’t have to say much about this but I guess we all know that a lot of the information from the internet has to be taken with a pinch of salt. I am not saying that all the information are lies but they could be mixed between truths and exaggerations to attract visitors to those websites. Similarly when a friend told me about mypadmedia and what they were offering I was naturally skeptical about it. After all how could any company offers an unlimited downloads of ipad ebooks with only a one time payment of less than USD50.

It didn’t make sense to me that someone could genuinely pull this off. By the way I was one of the very first few owners of iPad, I bought it at the launch of the product so I was eager to test out the device especially on ebooks. However the prices of ebooks nowadays are not getting any cheaper, it could easily cost between USD15-20 for a reasonably good title. That was when I remembered mypadmedia and decided to give it a shot, after all they offer a 60 days money back guarantee if one is not happy with the quality of the books or service.

After I signed up for the service I was truly surprised at the actual number of ebooks that they have. They practically offer thousands of ebooks for downloads from a variety of genres such as best sellers, thriller, romance, classics, mystery and much more. In addition, they also offer ipad comics such as anime, manga, comedy, Marvel and DC. The comics look really great on the iPad as they are able to be viewed at full screen and the graphics are superb. For those who like to catch up on the latest news, they provide access to thousands of live newspaper sites around the world which you can read from your iPad.

The downside of the service is firstly all the books are only available in English at this point of time but they may add other languages in the near future. The other weakness of the site is that right now they do not have the list of the content available at the site. This is because their databases are too huge and get updated daily. However from the looks of things, there is absolutely good quality in the ebooks that they provide.

So in conclusion while mypadmedia might not be a perfect service but at such an affordable price and with so much content to offer, it would truly be a crime if any iPad owners do not sign up.
